DJ Raph at Find The File Festival, Berlin

DJ Raph is going to present a live version of his album Sarcred Groves and new material on the 21th at Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin as part of the Find The File Festival.
The festival features concerts with Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, Dur-Dur Band International, DJ Raph, Baba Commandant, Tellavision & Derya Yıldırım, DJ /rupture (a.k.a. Jace Clayton), Bernadette La Hengst, Stella Chiweshe, The Zonke Family & Stefan Franke, Aérea Negrot, Olith Ratego & Chor der Kulturen der Welt, Alan Bishop, Hayvanlar Alemi and many more.

NO6 „Enneagram“ is a beautiful EP by Karachi based musician Alien Panda Jury – also known from the Karachi Files – and will be released on March 8. Check out the video for „Type 4“ and read about the EP on Wild City :
NO5 „Iterationen – resonant responces to a live concert“ is an album by Ensemble Extrakte, Sandeep Bhagwati and Gebrüder Teichmann and will be released in may.

„…Oft scheint es, als habe das Archiv den DJ gefunden – mindestens so sehr wie der DJ das Archiv. „Sacred Groves“ ist auch ein Statement gegen die Abgeschmacktheit der Afrika-Schablonen.- „Ich mag die Bezeichnung traditionell nicht, weil sie wie eine touristische Kategorie klingt“, sagt er. Insofern hat DJ Raph nicht nur ein künstlerisches Meisterstück, sondern auch einen hochinteressanten Beitrag zur politischen Debatte um den kolonialen Charakter der Sammlungen abgeliefert.“
